hey there,
my name is jessica and i am beginning a journey to change my life forever. i have always wanted to become a more healthy and active person and i figured now between my sophomore and junior years in college was a great time to start. 

everyone always says the same thing about how they always felt they wanted to lose weight and be the person they know they can be and blah blah blah. honestly, i think i'm a pretty, fun girl with a big heart, big hair, and it just so  happens that i have big thighs too. so i guess i am deciding to change that, and become healthy. i know i will never be a size 2. goodness if that happened i would probably look like a sickly alien or something. maybe minus the green coloring and big head. but i do have a goal for my weight loss and reasons to get fit. i want to get in shape to run a marathon within the next year.

i definitely h-a-t-e running. jogging even seems like a pain in the ass sometimes, but i want to become one of those people who just says "i think im gonna go for a run". as of right now that sounds horrible, but i think i can get there. at least i hope so. 

i decided to blog because i think it will help keep me accountable and it is kind of fun tracking my progress. well, i hope there is progress. 

my plan: work out every day for 96 days (that's the time i am home from school for the summer), and eat well to create a new healthy lifestyle for myself. 

i have already been working out for one week and my body is sore, but feels stronger. i also can tell that i am happier and more alert. 

i hope you come along with this Texas girl and enjoy the journey i am about to take.
